Music: The True Effects

Music can be used for many different things, whether it be listening to upbeat music to start off the day, or even as far as listening to music to get you through a heartbreaking, devastating time. The beauty behind music is the fact that anyone can listen to a type of genre and find what they like or what means the most to them. Humans listen to music instinctively without even realizing what it does to their thinking or personality.
Listening to music can make you feel, amplify, or even worsen emotions. According to kennedy center.org,”Music has the power to trigger feelings in listeners. Three main areas of the brain are responsible for these emotional responses: nucleus accumbens, amygdala, and the cerebellum.” Our brain responds to music in ways that can influence the way we feel. Listening to the specific type of music that helps you can really make a difference in how you feel. Students across the world all have different ways of using music for their own benefit.
